Youth Director's Council
"It's important to have character, not be a character"
The Youth Director's Council is a leadership program for youth from ages 13 to 18 that is based on community service. Participants in the Youth Director's Council receive training on such topics as empathy, leadership, citizenship, public speaking, financial responsibility, character and other related topics.

The Youth Director's Council votes for their own executive board. The board is responsible for choosing, organizing, and managing projects. During 2006 members of the Coral Gables Youth Director's logged more than 140 hours of community service at such places as Camillus House, Sisters of Charity Homeless Shelter, Community Partnership for the Homeless, and the South Florida Daily Food Bank.
