P.A.L. Scholarship

We are proud to announce that Coral Gables has initiated a P.A.L. Scholarship program. The Coral Gables P.A.L. Scholarship provides educational opportunities and support for promising students from our community. Winners will receive a one time scholarship of $1,000.00. They are also eligible to apply for renewal of the scholarship for up to four (4) years if renewal requirements are met. The scholarship will be funded through payroll deductions of Coral Gables Police Employees. Winners will be chosen by an independent third party selection committee.

Eligibility

1) Applicant must have been involved in a Coral Gables PAL program for 18 months.

2) Must have a 2.0 G.P.A. in High School.

3) Must have completed 75 hours of community service with Coral Gables PAL.

4) Must be a Senior in High School or a High School Graduate.

Note: Family members of Coral Gables Police Department Employees are not eligible to apply.

Renewal Requirements

1) Official transcript from attending College, University, or Approved Trade/Vocational School.

2) Must have completed 15 semester credits during the grant period.

3) Must have a minimum 2.5 G.P.A.

4) Letter of Request for renewal submitted to Coral Gables PAL.

5) Deadline: May 1st of each year.
